The supporters of Norrlands Athen booed when Austra 04 VFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kitt Pegov was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Per-Oskar Alefors. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Rony Nunes hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Holger Lundin in the 54th minute of play forced Austra 04 VFC's goalkeeper Kitt Pegov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elias Söderman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bebeto Baiano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 58 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Austra 04 VFC's zone, Per-Oskar Alefors stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kitt Pegov came out of the goal and Per-Oskar Alefors tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sten Skark scored 3-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kitt Pegov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that Norrlands Athen were the better team. Norrlands Athen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
