Sliema Dragons FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Möhnsen FC the free kick. A collision led to Sliema Dragons FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. After 6 minutes of play, Möhnsen FC's Xerxes Kamper made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Severiano was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 8 minutes, Julian Savona mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sliema Dragons FC and the Möhnsen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sliema Dragons FC's Julian Savona got a free kick in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rudi Georgii came free, but Marcelo Severiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Möhnsen FC booed when Sliema Dragons FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugon Debowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Sliema Dragons FC's Isaac Grimaud got a free kick in the 16th minute. Möhnsen FC's Kay Gönner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Grimaud in the 22nd minute of play. Kay Gönner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Grimaud in the 24th minute of the match. Kay Gönner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Grimaud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Isaac Grimaud notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Möhnsen FC's Kay Gönner. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Leo Scalpello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sliema Dragons FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Scalpello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kay Gönner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Julian Savona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sliema Dragons FC's zone, Rudi Georgii stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Severiano came out of the goal and Rudi Georgii tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelo Severiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xerxes Kamper in the 44th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaac Grimaud to make the kick off. Luigi Muscat charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luigi Muscat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 51 played minutes Sliema Dragons FC got a freekick which was hit by Luigi Muscat. The crowd rose to their feet as Julian Savona kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kay Gönner. That made the score 1-2 in the 53 minute of play. Marcelo Severiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xerxes Kamper, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 59 played minutes Sliema Dragons FC got a freekick which was hit by Hugon Debowski. Julian Savona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rudi Georgii sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Borg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kay Gönner having to interfere. Marco Reinhart hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Borg got free with Kay Gönner in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Julian Savona came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Sliema Dragons FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Savona couldn't finish the play. Kay Gönner didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Sliema Dragons FC's Isaac Grimaud shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. When the final whistle sounded Sliema Dragons FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Möhnsen FC.
