When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Sebastian Kluczyk took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Manoel Loarte to make any attempt to save it. After the first half Montevideo City Torque were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodrigo Alvarez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fae Folgore's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Kluczyk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manoel Loarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd match minute, Montevideo City Torque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Pulido to maneuver through the defense. Betadur Medel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 96th playminute. The Montevideo City Torque supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Montevideo City Torque would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
