The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, 『挑战者』银河俱乐部's goalkeeper 巩青沙 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo Corrêa. 于冰明 struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Gino Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 『挑战者』银河俱乐部. In the 7th minute, Eliézer Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bezerros EC were furious when Vágner Cunha was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 9th minute, one of Bezerros EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bezerros EC. 谢真雄 shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 13th minute 麦南星 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliézer Queiroz hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After having played for 16 minutes, 武沙军 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 『挑战者』银河俱乐部's supporters crossed their fingers, but 武沙军 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gino Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 于冰明 in the 21st minute of play. When 于冰明 came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the 『挑战者』银河俱乐部 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 于冰明 couldn't finish the play. Geovânio Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 28 played minutes Bezerros EC got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer Queiroz. 麦南星 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Bezerros EC defense, 武沙军 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gino Brito. The Bezerros EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gino Brito should have stopped the shot. Gustavo Corrêa came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and 巩青沙 could save by the left post. 40 minutes into the match, Bezerros EC's goal looked a bit too open when 于冰明 came free, but Gino Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 『挑战者』银河俱乐部's 武沙军 got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Corrêa to make the kick off. Gino Brito came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by 『挑战者』银河俱乐部's 于冰明. But to his dismay, 于冰明 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Dedé Loyola hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If 麦南星 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dedé Loyola, 61 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by 于冰明 in the 66th minute of play forced Bezerros EC's goalkeeper Gino Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dedé Loyola fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bezerros EC's protests and gave Dedé Loyola a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Dedé Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 麦南星 hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Gino Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 武沙军 in the 71st minute of the match. Geovânio Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. 巩青沙 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bezerros EC's Dráuzio Tasso got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 巩青沙 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Corrêa in the 81st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 于冰明 in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gino Brito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 85th minute 武沙军 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, 『挑战者』银河俱乐部's Gino Brito threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 武沙军, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 89th minute, Gustavo Corrêa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geovânio Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 巩青沙 having to interfere. Gino Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 武沙军 in the 95th minute of the match. 『挑战者』银河俱乐部 played a much better game than Bezerros EC and deserved their victory. The Bezerros EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
