In the 14th minute, one of ERGOTELIS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ERGOTELIS. The goalkeeper, Panos Drambas, was totally fooled by FC KAKAROTTO DYNÓW's Quentin Boulton, who 16 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Carlo Vulcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lefteris Kaligeros in the 21st minute of play. Panos Drambas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simeon Bancroft in the 27th minute of the match. Zackary Longden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Panos Drambas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, ERGOTELIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostas Makrodimitris to maneuver through the defense. Thrasivoulos Tsiblidis hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC KAKAROTTO DYNÓW's goalkeeper Carlo Vulcano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 36 minutes, Lefteris Kaligeros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ERGOTELIS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lefteris Kaligeros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Hicks charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Hicks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Lefteris Kaligeros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlo Vulcano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lefteris Kaligeros to strike the kick off in the second half.
