Spectators: 7515 (Terracing: 5637, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Evelio Mendez kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Go Ahead Eagles getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Vaios Sakoulidis hit a great ball. In the 4th match minute, CERPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Horado to maneuver through the defense. Go Ahead Eagles's Chatziioannou Kakratsas got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ermegildo Gora kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Chatziioannou Kakratsas's late challenge caught a CERPA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chatziioannou Kakratsas helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes Go Ahead Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Chatziioannou Kakratsas. Go Ahead Eagles's Chatziioannou Kakratsas got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romeo Florinio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Themistoklis Charalambakis made a huge save. Chatziioannou Kakratsas hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the game, CERPA's Romeo Florinio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Themistoklis Charalambakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Alberto Herauso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Themistoklis Charalambakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arjan Robben in the 27th minute of play forced CERPA's goalkeeper Bernabe Arano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikos Moustos in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernabe Arano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernabe Arano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arjan Robben, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes, Pablo Horado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CERPA and the Go Ahead Eagles players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pablo Horado hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. CERPA's Bernabe Arano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Moustos in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Arjan Robben notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of CERPA's Bernabe Arano. Bernabe Arano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Themistoklis Charalambakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Gora in the 46th minute of play. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CERPA! The referee gave Go Ahead Eagles a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Chatziioannou Kakratsas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CERPA's Bernabe Arano. 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Bernabe Arano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Evelio Mendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Themistoklis Charalambakis having to interfere. Pablo Horado kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Chatziioannou Kakratsas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and CERPA's Bernabe Arano didn't even have to move. Arjan Robben scored 1-6 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernabe Arano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 98th match minute, CERPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evelio Mendez to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Go Ahead Eagles's Arjan Robben slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernabe Arano. That made the score 1-7 after 99 minutes of play. Go Ahead Eagles's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
