Spectators: 7673 (Terracing: 5755, Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 153) Arjan Robben started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Trifon Chalkias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Themistoklis Charalambakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Arjan Robben's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giorgos Nifitsas was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Giorgos Nifitsas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Moustos in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th minute, TZITZIFIES's Giorgos Dogramadzhiev dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Tolis Stergiotis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 played minutes TZITZIFIES got a freekick which was hit by Timos Pagarliotas. In the 34th minute Arjan Robben shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgos Nifitsas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, TZITZIFIES's Timos Pagarliotas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Themistoklis Charalambakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 44 minutes, Nikos Moustos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Go Ahead Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikos Moustos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giorgos Tsartas kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giorgos Dogramadzhiev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tolis Stergiotis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nikos Moustos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Nifitsas having to interfere. When Iosif Protopapadakis fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TZITZIFIES's protests and gave Iosif Protopapadakis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute Tolis Stergiotis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Themistoklis Charalambakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arjan Robben in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Giorgos Nifitsas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, TZITZIFIES's Giorgos Nifitsas got control of the ball when Nikos Moustos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Go Ahead Eagles were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after TZITZIFIES's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chatziioannou Kakratsas took the corner. The corner led Go Ahead Eagles's Nikos Moustos to fire away a dangerous shot which Giorgos Nifitsas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Giorgos Nifitsas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaios Sakoulidis in the 79th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arjan Robben got free with Giorgos Nifitsas in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the game, Tolis Stergiotis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TZITZIFIES's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Go Ahead Eagles the free kick. After a rather tough play, TZITZIFIES's Tolis Stergiotis got a free kick in the 87th minute. Arjan Robben scored 1-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giorgos Nifitsas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Go Ahead Eagles were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
