Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maurinho Prestes to make the kick off. Marcial Errolan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Ruy Oliveira made a huge save. After 85 played minutes San Fernando Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Hector Pagomari. 87 minutes into the game, Artur do Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Papunhas EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Fernando Eagles the free kick. Artur do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Frédson Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. San Fernando Eagles's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
