Spectators: 7554 (Terracing: 5667, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pancho Leceta kicked off to start the match. Hector Pagomari's late challenge caught a Barcelona de América's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Pagomari helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute Marcial Errolan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Marines saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angel Tuero hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. San Fernando Eagles's Victorio Ado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pancho Leceta in the 17th minute of play. Victorio Ado came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Barcelona de América's Pancho Leceta. But to his dismay, Pancho Leceta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Vicente Sol put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Fabio Marines. In the 25th match minute, San Fernando Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigio Arias to maneuver through the defense. Edison Mendez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Victorio Ado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, San Fernando Eagles's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Calderón Palazuelos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Barcelona de América's Pancho Leceta in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye San Fernando Eagles's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, San Fernando Eagles's Victorio Ado got control of the ball when Calderón Palazuelos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Remigio Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Fernando Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigio Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victorio Ado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pancho Leceta in the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to San Fernando Eagles getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Leonides Lidon hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Sol to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcial Errolan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabio Marines read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Edison Mendez scored 2-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victorio Ado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 58 played minutes San Fernando Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Lidon. Pancho Leceta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vicente Sols short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Fabio Marines to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Barcelona de América booed when San Fernando Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Pagomari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pancho Leceta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabio Marines made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Sol in the 81st minute. 87 minutes into the match, Pancho Leceta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victorio Ado. San Fernando Eagles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pancho Leceta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 93rd minute Pancho Leceta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Ado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Barcelona de América fans cheered their team off the field, for while San Fernando Eagles had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
