Spectators: 7487 (Terracing: 5616, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Abdika Philip started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Salud y República booed when The Original Wonderteam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julien Maerschalck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vic Van Caenegem kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Fructuoso Echavarri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferdinand Serneels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdika Philip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in The Original Wonderteam's zone, Abdika Philip stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinand Serneels came out of the goal and Abdika Philip tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the game, Abdika Philip cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ferdinand Serneels was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ferdinand Serneels came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Salud y República's Abdika Philip. But to his dismay, Abdika Philip quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ferdinand Serneels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cai Ocaña in the 23rd minute of the match. Vic Van Caenegem charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vic Van Caenegem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, The Original Wonderteam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vic Van Caenegem to maneuver through the defense. The Original Wonderteam's Ferdinand Serneels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdika Philip in the 28th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Abdika Philip ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferdinand Serneels was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After some careless play in the The Original Wonderteam defense, Abdika Philip kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferdinand Serneels. The The Original Wonderteam fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferdinand Serneels should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute Abdika Philip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Serneels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Dominguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Serneels having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, The Original Wonderteam's Frank Dewolf got a free kick in the 50th minute. In the 51st match minute, Salud y República was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fructuoso Echavarri to maneuver through the defense. Ferdinand Serneels made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cai Ocaña in the 57th minute. Ferdinand Serneels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdika Philip, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The supporters of The Original Wonderteam booed when Salud y República was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Archibaldo Ecija didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Abdika Philip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fructuoso Echavarri struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Ferdinand Serneels didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salud y República. After 71 minutes of play, Salud y República's Abdika Philip made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferdinand Serneels was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Vic Van Caenegem in the 76th minute of play forced Salud y República's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Suciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Salud y República's Abdika Philip dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. In the 81st minute, Timy Coppens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute Salud y República were awarded a corner. Cai Ocaña went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Salud y República's Archibaldo Ecija to fire away a dangerous shot which Ferdinand Serneels despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ferdinand Serneels was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abdika Philip showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 87 minute of play. Frank Dewolf's late challenge caught a Salud y República's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Dewolf helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, The Original Wonderteam's Frank Dewolf got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute, Berto Calatayud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
