Corinthians Paulista's Júlio Jacinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Rolfsson in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rossoneri XI's Arne Rolfsson got a free kick in the 5th minute. Wilhelm Ahlroth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Júlio Jacinto made a huge save. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ricardinho Catarinense sped through Rossoneri XI's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Allan Brander. In the 20th minute Ricardinho Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Brander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rossoneri XI's Wilhelm Ahlroth got a free kick in the 21st minute. Hans Tidén could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Júlio Jacinto made a huge save. Júlio Jacinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilhelm Ahlroth in the 28th minute. After 28 played minutes S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Ricardinho Catarinense. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Ricardinho Catarinense got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júlio Jacinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hans Tidén in the 47th minute. After the first half S.C. Corinthians Paulista were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardinho Catarinense to make the kick off. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Júlio Jacinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Ahlroth in the 51st minute of play. If Diego da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rossoneri XI's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Cássio Aparecido scored to the left of an out of position Allan Brander, making the score, 0-2. Allan Brander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardinho Catarinense in the 73rd minute. Ricardinho Catarinenses short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Allan Brander to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Allan Brander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Catarinense in the 76th minute of the match. Allan Brander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Wilhelm Ahlroth scored 1-2 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Jacinto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Luiz Fábio Viana fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C. Corinthians Paulista's protests and gave Luiz Fábio Viana a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the S.C. Corinthians Paulista defense, Hans Tidén kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio Jacinto. The S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Jacinto should have stopped the shot. Ricardinho Catarinenses short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Allan Brander to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Oden Torsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Jacinto having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
