An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Mazurkiewicz in the 26th minute of play forced Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper Stefan Ciempa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Filip Mazurkiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stefan Ciempa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Mazurkiewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Marcelino Atarrabi came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Zielonka Gdansk's Robertas Lewandowski. But to his dismay, Robertas Lewandowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 45 minutes into the game, Torleif Drusebjerg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RED BULL MILANO TEAM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zielonka Gdansk the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jurand Pasterski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Zielonka Gdansk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stefan Ciempa should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Jurand Pasterski managed to get in a good position for a shot. RED BULL MILANO TEAM's supporters rose to their feet, but Jurand Pasterski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Ciempa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stefan Ciempa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurand Pasterski, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Jurand Pasterski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
