André Gustafsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Candeias, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th match minute, FCPorto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Candeias to maneuver through the defense. Oskars Glada Gäng's Jan Jansson got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd match minute, Oskars Glada Gäng was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Kielstedt to maneuver through the defense. Karl-Axel Bållström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Dewa Cinta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. André Gustafsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Cavaco in the 38th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Manuel Candeias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Gustafsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Manuel Candeias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Teodoro Cavaco managed to get in a good position for a shot. FCPorto's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Cavaco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Gustafsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Oskars Glada Gäng booed when FCPorto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Queiroga didn't get a good kick on the ball. When FCPorto's Teodoro Cavaco in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Oskars Glada Gäng's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jakob Grelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78thth minute of the game Jan Jansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FCPorto's Dewa Cinta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Manuel Candeias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of André Gustafsson. The goal made the score 0-3. Karl-Axel Bållström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dewa Cinta having to interfere. FCPorto's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
