After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Alin Agud managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's supporters rose to their feet, but Alin Agud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kacper Domala in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Ove Andersson saved FC UNIREA Alba Iulia from getting behind. Kacper Domala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Ove Andersson having to interfere. A collision led to FC UNIREA Alba Iulia getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Cristi Platon hit a great ball. Alin Agud hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Leon Mentus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tudor Bărbânță's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute, Gigi Câmpeanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leon Mentus was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Leon Mentus came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Gigi Câmpeanu. But to his dismay, Gigi Câmpeanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Leon Mentus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tudor Bărbânță, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Karl-Ove Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kacper Domala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Piotrków Trybunalski players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia were winning 0-4.

53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Piotrków Trybunalski's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mihai Odobescu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's players had a chance to rest. Dariusz Kostrzewa tried in the 53rd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Leon Mentus a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-5. In the 57thth minute of the game Kacper Domala who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Karl-Ove Andersson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Leon Mentus managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Tudor Bărbânță fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gigi Câmpeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Piotrków Trybunalski's Leon Mentus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigi Câmpeanu in the 65th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Finteșteanu got free with Leon Mentus in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gigi Câmpeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 69 minutes, Alin Agud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alin Agud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuel Finteșteanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Mentus having to interfere. Tudor Bărbânțăs short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Leon Mentus to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tudor Bărbânță scored 0-8 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leon Mentus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded FC UNIREA Alba Iulia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Piotrków Trybunalski.
