Alin Agud struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Mårten Nordström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC UNIREA Alba Iulia. Alin Agud could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Mårten Nordström made a huge save. Robin Zander hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Mihai Odobescu sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Mårten Nordström threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Mihai Odobescu this time. After a rather tough play, Oakcroft Thrashers's Eskil Ekrot got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute, Jan-Erik Askberg made a precise shot to the right of Karl-Ove Andersson. In the 47th minute, Robin Zander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mårten Nordström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mihai Odobescu in the 48th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With a little luck, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Karl-Ove Andersson got control of the ball when Jonathan Svensson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 58 played minutes FC UNIREA Alba Iulia got a freekick which was hit by Tudor Enoiu. In the 66th minute of the match Tudor Enoiu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mårten Nordström skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Jonathan Svensson could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Karl-Ove Andersson however easily saved by the left post. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! In the 73rd match minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alin Agud to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Svensson's late challenge caught a FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
