The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes AC 1986 Vinalito got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Abilio. After a rather tough play, AC 1986 Vinalito's Julian Distiratsu got a free kick in the 6th minute. Hilario Slaughter, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Delmiro Rosalio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyrus Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Hilario Slaughter ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Delmiro Rosalio. Delmiro Rosalio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Jason Achin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Pes in the 24th minute of play. After some careless play in the Qikiqtarjuaq FC defense, Emiliano Spott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jason Achin. The Qikiqtarjuaq FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jason Achin should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Spott in the 29th minute of play forced Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goalkeeper Jason Achin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th match minute, Qikiqtarjuaq FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denver Grimes to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, AC 1986 Vinalito's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Owen came free, but Delmiro Rosalio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Qikiqtarjuaq FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Stuart Schmitz hit a great ball. Will Greenberg's late challenge caught a AC 1986 Vinalito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Will Greenberg helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of AC 1986 Vinalito booed when Qikiqtarjuaq FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Will Greenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Nicolas Parente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jason Achin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The Qikiqtarjuaq FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AC 1986 Vinalito were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolas Parente to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, AC 1986 Vinalito's Jason Achin threw himself towards the right post 50 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nicolas Parente, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Owen in the 55th minute of play forced AC 1986 Vinalito's goalkeeper Delmiro Rosalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Pes in the 60th minute of play forced Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goalkeeper Jason Achin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jason Achin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Parente in the 60th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Parente in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jason Achin saved Qikiqtarjuaq FC from getting behind. Delmiro Rosalio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Owen in the 62nd minute of play. Jason Achin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Apolo Pes in the 65th minute. AC 1986 Vinalito were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Qikiqtarjuaq FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Apolo Pes took the corner. After 69 minutes of play, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Michael Owen made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Delmiro Rosalio was left in no man's land by his defense there! AC 1986 Vinalito's Delmiro Rosalio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Owen in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Federico Popov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jason Achin. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Federico Popov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. 83 minutes into the match, AC 1986 Vinalito's goal looked a bit too open when Hilario Slaughter came free, but Delmiro Rosalio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Spott in the 85th minute of play forced Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goalkeeper Jason Achin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The AC 1986 Vinalito players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
