After some careless play in the Dogo Argentino defense, Bengt-Åke Thidén kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severino Seber. The Dogo Argentino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severino Seber should have stopped the shot. Dogo Argentino's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roman Sandalio in the 8th minute. After taking down the ball on Dogo Argentino's corner Roman Sandalio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Staffan Lind quite easily take care of the ball. Staffan Lind made an important save on a dangerous shot by Côme Berga in the 12th minute. Severino Seber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greger Jonasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Côme Berga in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Staffan Lind prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Côme Berga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Staffan Lind made a huge save. Severino Seber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Walmarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The Linköpings AIK fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Linköpings AIK's Johannes Torstensson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Åke Thidén in the 37th minute of play forced Dogo Argentino's goalkeeper Severino Seber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Staffan Lind was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Côme Berga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Côme Berga really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Roman Sandalio hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After 48 played minutes, Linköpings AIK's Johannes Torstensson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Severino Seber came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Linköpings AIK reached it. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bengt-Åke Thidén stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Côme Berga in the 51st minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Staffan Lind to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Dogo Argentino's Severino Seber got control of the ball when Johannes Torstensson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dogo Argentino's Tadeo Errolan got a free kick in the 54th minute. Staffan Lind took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadeo Errolan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johannes Torstensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Seber having to interfere. Dogo Argentino's Côme Berga got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino Seber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johannes Torstensson in the 73rd minute. Sven-Ove Glanselius hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Sven-Ove Glanselius kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Roman Sandalio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 83rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
