But to his dismay, Bengt-Åke Thidén quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Super Nova Galaxy getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Ludomil Dula hit a great ball. After 7 minutes, Bengt-Åke Thidén made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Super Nova Galaxy's Herbert Wawak tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 11 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Staffan Lind had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ludomil Dula. When Nils-Åke Gadd fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Linköpings AIK's protests and gave Nils-Åke Gadd a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, Nils-Åke Gadd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herbert Wawak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Åke Thidén in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Staffan Lind had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Borys Nowak. Linköpings AIK's Staffan Lind proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Linköpings AIK from getting a goal against them. Linköpings AIK were furious when Torleif Torstensson was red carded, 23 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 22 minutes into the game, one of Linköpings AIK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Linköpings AIK:s Staffan Lind showed great skill when he stopped Franciszek Kaszubik:s penalty. Oscar Walmarsson hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Staffan Lind acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 26th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dominik Fetor. In the 30th minute Greger Jonasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Wawak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Greger Jonasson scored 0-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herbert Wawak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Super Nova Galaxy defense, Greger Jonasson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herbert Wawak. The Super Nova Galaxy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herbert Wawak should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ludomil Dula got free with Staffan Lind in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 47 played minutes Super Nova Galaxy got a freekick which was hit by Radomil Poreda. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
In the 51st minute, Greger Jonasson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Linköpings AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 60th minute, Greger Jonasson made a precise shot to the right of Herbert Wawak. Super Nova Galaxy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. 65 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Ludomil Dula came free, but Staffan Lind reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Inge Godholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 played minutes, Super Nova Galaxy's Franciszek Kaszubik shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Staffan Lind came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Super Nova Galaxy reached it. 70 minutes into the match, Super Nova Galaxy's goal looked a bit too open when Greger Jonasson came free, but Herbert Wawak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute Greger Jonasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Wawak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johannes Torstensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Herbert Wawak made a huge save. When Johannes Torstensson came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Linköpings AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Torstensson couldn't finish the play. Greger Jonasson took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herbert Wawak. Herbert Wawak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. In the 88th match minute, Linköpings AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Åke Thidén to maneuver through the defense. Linköpings AIK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
