After 2 minutes, Inge Godholm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Linköpings AIK and the Penuel Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Inge Godholm kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Staffan Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piorno Bazarra in the 4th minute of play. During the 7th minute of the match Inge Godholm completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Inge Godholm a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 8th minute, Inge Godholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Piorno Bazarra in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Staffan Lind prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Macnelly Torres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Staffan Lind made a huge save. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when Penuel Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Patiño didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fe Lizaur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Torstensson in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match Linköpings AIK got a corner. Penuel Football Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Johannes Torstensson ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Johannes Torstensson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fe Lizaur quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 18 played minutes Linköpings AIK got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Torstensson. Greger Jonasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fe Lizaur having to interfere. Linköpings AIK's Staffan Lind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piorno Bazarra in the 25th minute of play. Penuel Football Club were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Linköpings AIK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leopoldo Cero took the corner. With a little luck, Linköpings AIK's Staffan Lind got control of the ball when Macnelly Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Penuel Football Club booed when Linköpings AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Walmarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Jairo Patiño got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute, Penuel Football Club's Jairo Patiño dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Piorno Bazarra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penuel Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Piorno Bazarra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Staffan Lind breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th match minute, Linköpings AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torleif Torstensson to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Johannes Torstensson made a kick off. Johannes Torstensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute Macnelly Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Staffan Lind saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Macnelly Torres in the 64th minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Staffan Lind to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Staffan Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piorno Bazarra in the 65th minute of play. Macnelly Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Staffan Lind having to interfere. Penuel Football Club's Fernando Cavenaghi was substituted for Danel Ayllon. Penuel Football Club's Goizeder Getino was substituted for Ambrosio Descarrega. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piorno Bazarra in the 69th minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Staffan Lind to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71stth minute of the game Fernando Cavenaghi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linköpings AIK's Staffan Lind was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Linköpings AIK's Staffan Lind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piorno Bazarra in the 82nd minute of play. Staffan Lind showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Cavenaghi, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The audience was convinced that Fernando Cavenaghi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Staffan Lind was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. 88 minutes into the game, Piorno Bazarra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Staffan Lind was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Piorno Bazarra came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Penuel Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piorno Bazarra couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Greger Jonasson during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Linköpings AIK getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Greger Jonasson hit a great ball. After 94 minutes of play, Penuel Football Club's Piorno Bazarra made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Staffan Lind was left in no man's land by his defense there! Penuel Football Club were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Linköpings AIK for a fine match.
