Leonard Fința was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Greger Jonasson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Greger Jonasson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Torleif Torstensson hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After having played for 9 minutes, Andrei Nicola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Urzicuța's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrei Nicola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johannes Torstensson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leonard Fința firmly grabbed it by the left post. Staffan Lind took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicu Maghiran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Nicu Maghiran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Urzicuța fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. A collision led to FC Urzicuța getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Emanuel Oniga hit a great ball. Sven-Ove Glanselius kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Nicu Maghiran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Staffan Lind was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 35 minutes, Ferdinand Bocșan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Urzicuța and the Linköpings AIK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when FC Urzicuța was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Bocșan didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicu Maghiran in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Staffan Lind saved Linköpings AIK from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Linköpings AIK's zone, Rareș Andrei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Staffan Lind came out of the goal and Rareș Andrei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42ndth minute of the game Nicu Maghiran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linköpings AIK's Staffan Lind was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rareș Andrei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Staffan Lind having to interfere. Staffan Lind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrei Nicola in the 45th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Bengt-Åke Thidén made the kick off in the second half. Bengt-Åke Thidén might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonard Fința. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bengt-Åke Thidén ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Urzicuța's Leonard Fința played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Åke Thidén in the 62nd minute of play. After 70 minutes, Nicu Maghiran made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Linköpings AIK's Staffan Lind tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Staffan Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicu Maghiran in the 74th minute of play. After 78 minutes of play, FC Urzicuța's Nicu Maghiran made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Staffan Lind was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Johannes Torstensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linköpings AIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Johannes Torstensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonard Fința breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Nicu Maghiran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Staffan Lind made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicu Maghiran in the 92nd minute. In the 92nd minute, Nils-Åke Gadd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The FC Urzicuța players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
