Eusebio Cordarin struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Heitor Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xeneizes. Martin Ongile was a little too slow when Gastão Cesário got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 13th minute, Artur Fidalgo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 16 minutes into the game, Artur Fidalgo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Martin Ongile was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd minute Guaberto Azibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heitor Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Guaberto Azibar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ernesto Sanduru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guaberto Azibar in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heitor Teixeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martin Ongile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Fidalgo in the 31st minute of play. Martin Ongile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Valadão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Manuel Valadão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Guaberto Azibar notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Heitor Teixeira. Heitor Teixeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Artur Fidalgo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Heitor Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Azibar in the 42nd minute of play. Martin Ongile made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gastão Cesário in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Artur Fidalgo made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Gastão Cesário notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Xeneizes's Martin Ongile. Martin Ongile was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Artur Fidalgo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Ongile was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Xeneizes defense, Gastão Cesário kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Ongile. The Xeneizes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Ongile should have stopped the shot. When Eusebio Cordarin fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xeneizes's protests and gave Eusebio Cordarin a yellow card for diving instead. Eusebio Cordarin hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Eulalio Aragones kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Valadão came free, but Martin Ongile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gastão Cesário scored 6-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martin Ongile, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 73 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Valadão came free, but Martin Ongile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Artur Fidalgo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. The supporters of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. booed when Xeneizes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Crispo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 played minutes, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Manuel Valadão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Martin Ongile came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. reached it. 87 minutes into the match, Manuel Valadão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Ongile. Xeneizes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Valadão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. Guaberto Azibar in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Heitor Teixeira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. There was no doubt that Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. were the better team. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
