After a rather tough play, Xeneizes's Emanuel Txanton got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After having played for 4 minutes, Geovani Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Figueira SC FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovani Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Ongile stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geovani Borges's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. With 10 minutes on the clock, Danilo Marques commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 11th minute Eusebio Cordarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gino Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Cordarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gino Hoffmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guaberto Azibar in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Eulalio Aragones hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 played minutes Xeneizes got a freekick which was hit by Atilano Feo. In the 20th minute of the match Marcelo Medeiros shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Ongile showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Xeneizes fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! Gino Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Cordarin in the 28th minute of play. Figueira SC FSCMZ's Gino Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Azibar in the 34th minute of play. Gino Hoffmann made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Guaberto Azibar sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute, Ernesto Sanduru reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gino Hoffmann. The goal made the score 1-1. 42 minutes into the match, Luís Fabiano Félix had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Ongile. Xeneizes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Fabiano Félix was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Xeneizes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Figueira SC FSCMZ were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guaberto Azibar to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Figueira SC FSCMZ booed when Xeneizes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Azibar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's goalkeeper Martin Ongile had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evaristo Meira. Martin Ongile didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo Meira went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eulalio Aragones during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 played minutes Xeneizes got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Aragones. 71 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Meira came free, but Martin Ongile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Luís Fabiano Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gino Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Azibar in the 79th minute of play. The Figueira SC FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Figueira SC FSCMZ's Evaristo Meira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 83 minutes, Evaristo Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Figueira SC FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Meira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute Eusebio Cordarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Ongile came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Figueira SC FSCMZ's Renatinho Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Renatinho Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xeneizes's goalkeeper Martin Ongile, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Figueira SC FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Figueira SC FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
