After a rather tough play, Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Valentin Pacho got a free kick in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Quinto in the 10th minute of play forced Gloria Verdinegra AFC's goalkeeper Generoso Sasoin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cristian Quinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute Cristian Quinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Sasoin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Pacho hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Gloria Verdinegra AFC defense, Cristian Quinto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Generoso Sasoin. The Gloria Verdinegra AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Generoso Sasoin should have stopped the shot. In the 28th minute, Eduardo Cordarrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th match minute, Curumalán AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Cambiasso to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hernán Losada during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Esteban Cambiasso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curumalán AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteban Cambiasso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Generoso Sasoin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Leonardo Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristian Quinto made a kick off. Cristian Quinto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 52nd minute. Curumalán AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cristian Quinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Hernán Losada sped through Gloria Verdinegra AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Generoso Sasoin. After a defensive mix-up in Curumalán AFC's zone, Martin Benat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amado Ishmael came out of the goal and Martin Benat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Generoso Sasoin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Quinto in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Leonides Rayman got a free kick in the 79th minute. Patricio Alfonso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Generoso Sasoin having to make a save. In the 83rd minute, Curumalán AFC's Cristian Quinto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Generoso Sasoin. Generoso Sasoin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Esteban Cambiasso took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Generoso Sasoin. Generoso Sasoin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Esteban Cambiasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Sasoin having to interfere.
