Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gerardo Oalo took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Curumalán AFC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Hipolito Serafo hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the game, Guillermo Espiridion was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Retorno de Palermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curumalán AFC the free kick. Curumalán AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Retorno de Palermo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Curumalán AFC's Ariel Estefan got a free kick in the 7th minute. El Retorno de Palermo's Anibal Egoitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save El Retorno de Palermo from getting a goal against them. 15 minutes into the match, Cristian Quinto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anibal Egoitz, 1-0. Amado Ishmael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Oalo in the 18th minute of the match. Anibal Egoitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Quinto in the 20th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelino Bernard during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes El Retorno de Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Bernard. When Hipolito Serafo fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curumalán AFC's protests and gave Hipolito Serafo a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 28 minutes, Gerardo Oalo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Retorno de Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Oalo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Danilo Milian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the game, Esteban Cambiasso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anibal Egoitz. Esteban Cambiasso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 40th minute Esteban Cambiasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Egoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th match minute, El Retorno de Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Ofelio to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Curumalán AFC made a substitution. Eduardo Cordarrell replaced Cristian Quinto. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eduardo Cordarrell to strike the kick off in the second half. El Retorno de Palermo's Anibal Egoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernán Losada in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Curumalán AFC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ariel Estefan hit a great ball. Anibal Egoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Cambiasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 62 minutes into the match, Eduardo Cordarrell notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of El Retorno de Palermo's Anibal Egoitz. Anibal Egoitz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Angelino Bernard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Amado Ishmael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Esteban Cambiasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Egoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esteban Cambiasso kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Guillermo Espiridion kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Anibal Egoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernán Losada in the 80th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Eduardo Cordarrell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Curumalán AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. When Danilo Milian came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the El Retorno de Palermo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Milian couldn't finish the play. El Retorno de Palermo's Anibal Egoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Cambiasso in the 89th minute of play. Danilo Milian kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After 97 played minutes Curumalán AFC got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Cambiasso. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Curumalán AFC had played much better football throughout.
