The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Krzysztof Rutecki scored 0-1 in the 2nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manole Ghiondea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Miromir Dejo took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manole Ghiondea. Manole Ghiondea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Galati Harbour Cats's Panait Acalinei got a free kick in the 10th minute. Manole Ghiondea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wincent Dawiec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Galati Harbour Cats defense, Krzysztof Rutecki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manole Ghiondea. The Galati Harbour Cats fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manole Ghiondea should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dariusz Balkiewicz in the 23rd minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Manole Ghiondea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Krzysztof Rutecki might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manole Ghiondea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krzysztof Rutecki in the 37th minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Manole Ghiondea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when FC Krasnosielc's Krzysztof Rutecki fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 39 minutes into the match, Krzysztof Rutecki notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Galati Harbour Cats's Manole Ghiondea. Manole Ghiondea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 43 minutes into the game, Wincent Dawiec cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Manole Ghiondea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half FC Krasnosielc were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Manole Ghiondea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krzysztof Rutecki, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 68th minute, Krzysztof Rutecki fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Manole Ghiondea, passed just outside the right post. Wincent Dawiec struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Manole Ghiondea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Krasnosielc. Galati Harbour Cats's Manole Ghiondea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wincent Dawiec in the 70th minute of play. Manole Ghiondea came out and tried to block the shot, but Wincent Dawiec slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 80th minute. Krzysztof Rutecki was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. FC Krasnosielc's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Manole Ghiondea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincent Dawiec in the 84th minute of play. Krzysztof Rutecki took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manole Ghiondea. Manole Ghiondea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. When Wincent Dawiec came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the FC Krasnosielc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wincent Dawiec couldn't finish the play. Manole Ghiondea came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Krasnosielc's Olaf Bierfass. But to his dismay, Olaf Bierfass quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10.
