A collision led to ROJO getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Nicolas Salvino hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roman Haritz got free with Manole Ghiondea in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Galati Harbour Cats's Manole Ghiondea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Galati Harbour Cats from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Soare in the 12th minute of play forced ROJO's goalkeeper Lino Bembe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manole Ghiondea came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by ROJO's Jan Huijsmans. But to his dismay, Jan Huijsmans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A collision led to ROJO getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Nicolas Salvino hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Filiberto Jordy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Sabin Zbârnea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th match minute, ROJO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Salvino to maneuver through the defense. Filip Mavrogheni might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lino Bembe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filip Mavrogheni ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Galati Harbour Cats getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Basarab Zdroană hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Huijsmans got free with Manole Ghiondea in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jan Huijsmans struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Manole Ghiondea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ROJO. If Jan Huijsmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Liviu Soare made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Liviu Soare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Bembe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Javier Palben scored 3-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manole Ghiondea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 58 minutes, Basarab Zdroană mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galati Harbour Cats and the ROJO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Basarab Zdroană hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute Jan Huijsmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manole Ghiondea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd match minute, Galati Harbour Cats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basarab Zdroană to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Nicolas Salvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lino Bembe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basarab Zdroană in the 68th minute. In the 77th minute, Uriel Peru had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Panait Acalinei during the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, Galati Harbour Cats's Filip Mavrogheni got a free kick in the 81st minute. Manole Ghiondea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Huijsmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, Evaristo Tristan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Basarab Zdroană from long distance, 85 minutes into the match, got Lino Bembe's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Galati Harbour Cats's Sebastian Andone managed to work through ROJO's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Sebastian Andone dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. ROJO's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
