In the 15th minute, 林伟弘 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 曲邦远 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Donato Azeari made a huge save. 蒋真峰 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Toro in the 27th minute of the match. San Lorenzo's Severiano Fresco got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 曲邦远 to make the kick off. 曲邦远 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute Blas Osoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 蒋真峰 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Blas Osoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Donato Azeari stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 曲邦远's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. 曲邦远 scored 1-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donato Azeari, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 齐义克 was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 68th match minute, San Lorenzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Belmiro to maneuver through the defense. Mario Cordario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. 蒋真峰 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leo Fix fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Lorenzo's protests and gave Leo Fix a yellow card for diving instead.
