The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Franck Assendelft was a little too slow when Gentil Perdigão got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 7th match minute, Kelmond S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolf Pilage to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, PLURAL's Aristides Machado tried to score from far away in the 8th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Gentil Perdigão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Franck Assendelft, 2-0. Gentil Perdigão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Gentil Perdigão notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Kelmond S.C.'s Franck Assendelft. Franck Assendelft was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 19 minutes into the game, Youri de Zaaijer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kelmond S.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PLURAL the free kick. Youri de Zaaijer hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 23 minutes Kelmond S.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aristides Machado who took care of the corner kick. The audience was convinced that Gentil Perdigão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franck Assendelft was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. PLURAL's Caio Coutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hub Heida in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Kelmond S.C. booed when PLURAL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Velasques didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind PLURAL's goalkeeper Caio Coutinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Paul Trip hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franck Assendelft made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Gentil Perdigão sent off a good shot on target. If Gerrit Bemmel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. PLURAL's Caio Coutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerrit Bemmel in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute Gentil Perdigão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franck Assendelft saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gentil Perdigão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franck Assendelft was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Youri de Zaaijer to make the kick off. Franck Assendelft showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Velasques in the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Gentil Perdigão notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Kelmond S.C.'s Franck Assendelft. Franck Assendelft was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leon Holt hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Gentil Perdigão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franck Assendelft was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gentil Perdigão in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franck Assendelft prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 80 minutes, Aldo Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PLURAL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. PLURAL's Gentil Perdigão got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 90 played minutes Kelmond S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ger Daems. PLURAL's Aristides Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caio Coutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Youri de Zaaijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
