Spectators: 7493 (Terracing: 5621, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfredo Esteves started the match with the kick off. Mihály Földesi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Fernandez having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Neil Mar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 7 played minutes, Szombathely Squirrels's Ferenc Jászberényi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedro Luís Fernandez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Szombathely Squirrels reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihály Földesi in the 8th minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Róbert Kormos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from César Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When César Rosa got free in front of the goal in the 9th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Róbert Kormos was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Mihály Földesi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Pedro Luís Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Róbert Kormos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Rosa in the 13th minute of play. Mihály Földesi might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Luís Fernandez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mihály Földesi ran back to his position shaking his head. César Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Mihály Földesi put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez. Serafim Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After 39 played minutes, Szombathely Squirrels's Ferenc Jászberényi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedro Luís Fernandez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Szombathely Squirrels reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihály Földesi in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Luís Fernandez saved Marzagão from getting behind. In the 47th minute, Ferenc Jászberényi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mihály Földesi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling César Rosa in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Róbert Kormos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihály Földesi in the 54th minute of play. In the 57thth minute of the game Mihály Földesi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Marzagão's Fabiano de Queiroz got a free kick in the 58th minute. After 59 played minutes Szombathely Squirrels got a freekick which was hit by Mihály Földesi. In the 60th minute of the match Mihály Csontos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Luís Fernandez skillfully saved the ball. Pedro Luís Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihály Földesi in the 61st minute of play. Mihály Csontos's late challenge caught a Marzagão's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihály Csontos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute Mihály Földesi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Neil Mar hit a great ball. When %teams%'s Mihály Földesi was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 0-2 just inside the left pole, 73 minutes into the game. Pedro Luís Fernandez was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. With a little luck, Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez got control of the ball when Zsolt Vörös tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Mihály Földesi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Luís Fernandez was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Rosa in the 81st minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Róbert Kormos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 played minutes Szombathely Squirrels got a freekick which was hit by János Major. César Rosa scored 1-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Róbert Kormos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Szombathely Squirrels's Mihály Földesi in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marzagão's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Marzagão's zone, Zsolt Vörös stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luís Fernandez came out of the goal and Zsolt Vörös tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mihály Földesi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Luís Fernandez. That made the score 1-3 in the 94 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Szombathely Squirrels walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
