Spectators: 7542 (Terracing: 5658, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Avgust Súbchev got the match started through his kick off. When Dafin Pastirov came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Botev Plovdiv 1912 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dafin Pastirov couldn't finish the play. Ognyan Filipov hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute Mihály Földesi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tenyo Shivarov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Szombathely Squirrels's Róbert Kormos got control of the ball when Dafin Pastirov tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dafin Pastirov got free with Róbert Kormos in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 28 played minutes, Szombathely Squirrels's Dániel Szabadi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tenyo Shivarov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Szombathely Squirrels reached it. After 29 minutes of play, Szombathely Squirrels's Mihály Földesi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tenyo Shivarov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Avgust Súbchev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Avgust Súbchev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Róbert Kormos having to interfere. A collision led to Szombathely Squirrels getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Zsolt Lázár hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mihály Földesi was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Avgust Súbchev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Kormos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mihály Földesi during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Botev Plovdiv 1912's Tenyo Shivarov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zsolt Lázár in the 76th minute of play. Dafin Pastirov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 81 minutes into the game, Ognyan Filipov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Botev Plovdiv 1912's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Szombathely Squirrels the free kick. A hard shot by Dániel Szabadi from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got Tenyo Shivarov's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, Szombathely Squirrels's Zsolt Lázár got a free kick in the 84th minute. Mihály Földesis short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Tenyo Shivarov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vasil Shterionov hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Botev Plovdiv 1912 were the better team. Botev Plovdiv 1912's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
