Spectators: 7503 (Terracing: 5628, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jairo Astigar started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Astigar in the 5th minute of play forced SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Desiderio Endura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Acevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Primitivo Orixe made a huge save. San Lorenzo 11's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Isaac Garoa in the 10th minute. Primitivo Orixe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zeledon Teofilio in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Astigar in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Desiderio Endura saved SOUTH THUNDER from getting behind. After 21 played minutes San Lorenzo 11 got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Garoa. When Germán Pezzella fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SOUTH THUNDER's protests and gave Germán Pezzella a yellow card for diving instead. Gualterio Aragones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Endura having to interfere. Jairo Astigar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Desiderio Endura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd match minute, San Lorenzo 11 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Acevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Primitivo Orixe made a huge save. Desiderio Endura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Astigar in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arturo Acevedo to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to San Lorenzo 11 getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Lázaro Txilar hit a great ball. In the 61st minute Isidoro Godoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Orixe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Primitivo Orixe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Acevedo in the 65th minute of the match. Jairo Astigar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Desiderio Endura when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 69th minute, Ubaldo Lonzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jairo Astigar in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Desiderio Endura, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Primitivo Orixe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Godoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franco Mastantuono charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franco Mastantuono the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of San Lorenzo 11 booed when SOUTH THUNDER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franco Mastantuono didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Fabricio Bustos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SOUTH THUNDER's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Lorenzo 11 the free kick. 76 minutes into the game, one of SOUTH THUNDER:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Desiderio Endura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filiberto Gilabert went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Serafin Fero hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo 11's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Acevedo came free, but Primitivo Orixe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jairo Astigar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Desiderio Endura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Franco Mastantuono was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. A collision led to SOUTH THUNDER getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Franco Mastantuono hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SOUTH THUNDER's zone, Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Desiderio Endura came out of the goal and Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. San Lorenzo 11 played a much better game than SOUTH THUNDER and deserved their victory. The SOUTH THUNDER players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
