But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Benitez couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Deportivo Medievales getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Victorino Matia hit a great ball. Ludomir Budrewicz struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Deportivo Medievales's Valentin Benitez got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
