The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Abelardo Intxixu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelio Abadie was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. The corner led LA InDuStRiA INC's Domingos Chuan to fire away a dangerous shot which Leon Oliverio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 14 minutes of play, LA InDuStRiA INC's Domingos Chuan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leon Oliverio was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Blas Eron fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LA InDuStRiA INC's protests and gave Blas Eron a yellow card for diving instead. Club Atlético Magallanes's Leon Oliverio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Lekubegi in the 23rd minute of play. Leon Oliverio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Inocente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Abelardo Intxixu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cornelio Abadie. LA InDuStRiA INC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abelardo Intxixu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Intxixu in the 29th minute of play forced LA InDuStRiA INC's goalkeeper Cornelio Abadie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Club Atlético Magallanes got a corner. LA InDuStRiA INC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Braulio Breogan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hermengildo Izotz kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Abelardo Intxixu struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Cornelio Abadie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Magallanes. Blas Eron kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 48th minute Braulio Breogan saw that he had a good position to shoot and he shot a long ball on target, but the ball went just outside the left post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. A collision led to Club Atlético Magallanes getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Abelardo Intxixu hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Abelardo Intxixu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cornelio Abadie. LA InDuStRiA INC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abelardo Intxixu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The supporters of Club Atlético Magallanes booed when LA InDuStRiA INC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Inocente didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Abelardo Intxixu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes had been played. After 87 played minutes Club Atlético Magallanes got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Intxixu. Club Atlético Magallanes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
