An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Lukavský in the 55th minute of play forced Club Atlético Magallanes's goalkeeper Leon Oliverio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leon Oliverio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleš Šlosar in the 56th minute of play. When Abelardo Intxixu got free in front of the goal in the 57th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Nic Nedal was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Leon Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Roman Lukavský managed to get in a good position for a shot. Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Lukavský was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon Oliverio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 66 minutes into the match, Aleš Šlosar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leon Oliverio. Club Atlético Magallanes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aleš Šlosar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 78thth minute of the game Jarolím Jäger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Magallanes's Leon Oliverio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 79 minutes Club Atlético Magallanes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roman Lukavský who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Roman Lukavský almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atlético Magallanes's Leon Oliverio did a great save. Manoel Barros was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 82 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, one of Club Atlético Magallanes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atlético Magallanes. Leon Oliverio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarolím Jäger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nic Nedal made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Augusto Xabier sent off a good shot on target. Augusto Xabier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nic Nedal having to interfere. Jonas Viviano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Atlético Magallanes's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
