After 13 played minutes, Santos FC's Desmond Rowell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Miguel Ilixo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Santos FC reached it. 22 minutes into the match, Del Acuerdo's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Jewell came free, but Miguel Ilixo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Giuseppe Jewell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Ilixo was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giuseppe Jewell to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodrick Orlinsky kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Victor Hess could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Miguel Ilixo however easily saved by the left post. 69 minutes into the game, Sherwood Franks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Del Acuerdo the free kick. Jim Mitchell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Ospetsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. When Edgard Iruinea came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Del Acuerdo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Iruinea couldn't finish the play. After having played for 87 minutes, Giuseppe Jewell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giuseppe Jewell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Del Acuerdo's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Jewell came free, but Miguel Ilixo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Ilixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Jewell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
