After 8 played minutes CLC Winter got a freekick which was hit by Cristoforo Balboni. In the 9th minute Geovanni Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Righi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to CLC Winter getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Damiano Di Placido hit a great ball. CLC Winter's Arrigo Righi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Cordeiro in the 12th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosimo Epifani got free with Edmundo Catarinense in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosimo Epifani in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmundo Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arrigo Righi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovanni Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Wolf got a corner. CLC Winter's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hortêncio Fantini ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hortêncio Fantini made a great header on Wolf's corner, it was just that CLC Winter's Arrigo Righi managed to reach the ball for a save. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Edmundo Catarinense successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ercole Polo struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Edmundo Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CLC Winter. Arrigo Righi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, CLC Winter's Ercole Polo got a free kick in the 29th minute. When Wolf's Geovanni Cordeiro in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. CLC Winter's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arrigo Righi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovanni Cordeiro in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arrigo Righi saved CLC Winter from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Cosimo Epifani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmundo Catarinense was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. If Geovanni Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murilo Monteiro hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Caio Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Cosimo Epifani came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the CLC Winter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cosimo Epifani couldn't finish the play. Rony Alves's late challenge caught a CLC Winter's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rony Alves helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of CLC Winter booed when Wolf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rony Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cosimo Epifani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristoforo Balboni in the 63rd minute of play forced Wolf's goalkeeper Edmundo Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ercole Polo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmundo Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After 67 played minutes CLC Winter got a freekick which was hit by Emanuele Cosi. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Geovanni Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolf's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovanni Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arrigo Righi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Serafim Lopez fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wolf's protests and gave Serafim Lopez a yellow card for diving instead. After 77 played minutes Wolf got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Lopez. The Wolf fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Wolf's Geovanni Cordeiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. CLC Winter's Arrigo Righi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save CLC Winter from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the Wolf players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CLC Winter.
