With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domingo Diaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 11th minute, Luís Paulo de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Itajaí Football Club's Conrado Miranda in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee showed Isaac Esdras the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Itajaí Football Club booed when Chacarita Jrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Esdras didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Andreas Piovezan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Paulo de Castro in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domingo Diaz saved Chacarita Jrs from getting behind. 39 minutes into the match, Chacarita Jrs's goalkeeper Domingo Diaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Miranda. Conrado Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 47 in the game by Conrado Miranda from a close distance when the talented Domingo Diaz managed to make a qualified save. Chacarita Jrs's players were relieved. Chacarita Jrs's Domingo Diaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paulo de Castro in the 49th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaac Esdras to make the kick off. Conrado Miranda might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domingo Diaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conrado Miranda ran back to his position shaking his head. Domingo Diaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chacarita Jrs's Domingo Diaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Miranda in the 63rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Conrado Miranda sped through Chacarita Jrs's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Domingo Diaz. In the 70th minute Conrado Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Diaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chacarita Jrs's goalkeeper Domingo Diaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Conrado Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingo Diaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Miranda in the 79th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Chacarita Jrs's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Miranda came free, but Domingo Diaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Itajaí Football Club had played much better football throughout.
