The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Naldo Hermes during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of CLC Winter booed when Pendotiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute Ercole Polo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton Alagoano in the 11th minute of play forced CLC Winter's goalkeeper Arrigo Righi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Damiano Di Placido fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CLC Winter's protests and gave Damiano Di Placido a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CLC Winter getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Damiano Di Placido hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, CLC Winter's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aírton Alagoano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Pendotiba booed when CLC Winter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franco Colagrossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Naldo Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arrigo Righi came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Pendotiba's Aírton Alagoano. But to his dismay, Aírton Alagoano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Aírton Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Arrigo Righi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dave Tarantini made in the 41st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Damiano Di Placido however managed to control. Aírton Alagoano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Arrigo Righi made a huge save. Arrigo Righi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aírton Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Damiano Di Placido hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Franco Colagrossi to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, CLC Winter's goal looked a bit too open when Aírton Alagoano came free, but Arrigo Righi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Aírton Alagoano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in CLC Winter's zone, Aírton Alagoano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arrigo Righi came out of the goal and Aírton Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arrigo Righi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aírton Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Norberto Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to CLC Winter getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ennio Musso hit a great ball. After 73 played minutes CLC Winter got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Garofalo. In the 74th minute of the match Elivélton Barbosa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arrigo Righi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 76 minutes, Aírton Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pendotiba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aírton Alagoano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pendotiba fully deserved thier win.
