Armando Macias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Benigno Manilan made a huge save. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Darkness's goalkeeper Gianluigi Ogazon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Rodolfo Mambru got a free kick in the 40th minute. Armando Macias was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Benigno Manilan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Errapel in the 43rd minute of play. Benigno Manilan was a little too slow when Tiburcio Matro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Macias was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sarmiento de Resistencia's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Etor came free, but Benigno Manilan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benigno Manilan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Sánchez, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Alberto Sarmiento got a free kick in the 70th minute. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Benigno Manilan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Macias in the 77th minute of play. Gianluigi Ogazon made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Rodolfo Guerau sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute, Salvador Marino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gianluigi Ogazon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Guerau in the 90th minute. Salvador Marino's late challenge caught a Sarmiento de Resistencia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Marino helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Darkness got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Marino. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Darkness fully deserved thier win.
