Joélson Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Mateo Jakue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Mateo Jakue managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Joélson Paraibano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Leopoldo Sanchess short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Mateo Jakue to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 27th minute, Bernabe Artizar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Ángel Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Maldonado in the 32nd minute of play. If Joélson Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. Esmeralda AFC's Mateo Jakue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joélson Paraibano in the 75th minute of play. Javier Hermelando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Miguel Ángel Ortiz made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Joélson Paraibano put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mateo Jakue. A collision led to S.E.R.
