João Carlos Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrão Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes of play, REAL VASCO RIO's Horácio Pires made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Carlos Oliveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the match, Alfredo Fernandes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Carlos Oliveira. S.C. Ferrari's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Fernandes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 35th minute, Cristóvão Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute of the match Váldson do Vale shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Percival Prestes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 39th minute of the match, Willian Paes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Percival Prestes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The corner ended in Váldson do Vale almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but REAL VASCO RIO's Percival Prestes did a great save. The S.C. Ferrari players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. REAL VASCO RIO were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Willian Paes made a kick off. Willian Paes struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Percival Prestes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Ferrari. In the 53rd minute, Duda das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. S.C. Ferrari's João Carlos Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão Souza in the 54th minute of play. Willian Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Percival Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Kléberson Sabóia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, REAL VASCO RIO's goal looked a bit too open when Elano Galvão came free, but Percival Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão Souza in the 68th minute of play forced S.C. Ferrari's goalkeeper João Carlos Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, S.C. Ferrari's Víktor Marques got a free kick in the 68th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willian Paes in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Percival Prestes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Percival Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Beto Guedes made a precise shot to the right of Percival Prestes. REAL VASCO RIO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Aloísio Mangueira struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Percival Prestes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Ferrari. 84 minutes into the game, Natã Nogueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. REAL VASCO RIO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.C. Ferrari the free kick. The supporters of S.C. Ferrari booed when REAL VASCO RIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Percival Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duda das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. REAL VASCO RIO's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
