Spectators: 7679 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lennart De Keyser started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Johny Godefroid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Piotr Gecionis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johny Godefroid in the 6th minute of the match. When Johny Godefroid came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Invictus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johny Godefroid couldn't finish the play. Zdzislaw Jerzyk lost his temper 11 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Piotr Gecionis had in the 13thth minute some difficulties stopping Jamie van Elderen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Piotr Gecionis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johny Godefroid in the 18th minute of play. Johny Godefroid recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Piotr Gecionis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johny Godefroid, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When Czeslaw Rakowski fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Śląsk Bytom's protests and gave Czeslaw Rakowski a yellow card for diving instead. Czeslaw Rakowski hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Piotr Gecionis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johny Godefroid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Śląsk Bytom's Roch Betonowy got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Johny Godefroid who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Piotr Gecionis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Piotr Gecionis was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Johny Godefroid capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Johny Godefroid really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roch Betonowy to strike the kick off in the second half. Dreas Caers hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roch Betonowy during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Śląsk Bytom's Roch Betonowy got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 57th minute, Śląsk Bytom's Maciek Hana dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Johny Godefroid sped through Śląsk Bytom's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Piotr Gecionis. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johny Godefroid in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Piotr Gecionis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Johny Godefroid sped through Śląsk Bytom's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Piotr Gecionis. In the 74th minute, Johny Godefroid got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute, Maurus De Muysere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 80 in the game by Maciek Hana from a close distance when the talented Wannes De Tapp managed to make a qualified save. Invictus FC's players were relieved. Lennart De Keyser kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Cezary Pryla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wannes De Tapp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Johny Godefroid came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Invictus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johny Godefroid couldn't finish the play. Johny Godefroid's late challenge caught a Śląsk Bytom's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johny Godefroid helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Śląsk Bytom booed when Invictus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johny Godefroid didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Roch Betonowy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maciek Hana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Czeslaw Rakowski made in the 95th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Invictus FC's Gürel Toktimur. Śląsk Bytom's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
