The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mustapha Rouillon charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mustapha Rouillon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mustapha Rouillon hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute of the match, Jacek Galaska tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Didier Lefebvre saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lukasz Marek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludovic Russier in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Korneliusz Trochowski to strike the kick off in the second half. Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Lukasz Marek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Ageorges in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute of the match Wieslaw Mietus sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Didier Lefebvre skillfully saved the ball. Kevin Signoret who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Lukasz Marek when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Kazimierz Kowalski got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After 76 minutes, Djibril Pourcelot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mans and the Lyna Lidzbark Warminski players grew even worse after the yellow card. Didier Lefebvre was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Many of Mans's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mans may have spent more time on the ball, but Lyna Lidzbark Warminski were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
