Nilmar Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Queiroz in the 3rd minute of play. Keiran Jenkins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Dedé Dante made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Aurora FC's Murilo Severo got a free kick in the 5th minute. Damien Quinn took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dedé Dante. Aurora FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dedé Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damien Quinn in the 9th minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Aurora FC's goalie and right to Dale Milburn. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Aurora FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 13th minute, Murilo Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurora FC's Dedé Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damien Quinn in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Keiran Jenkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurora FC's Dedé Dante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Aurora FC from getting a goal against them. In the 27th match minute, Aurora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murilo Severo to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Hernani Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute Aurora FC were awarded a corner. Leonel Loureiro went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Aurora FC's Leonel Loureiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Nilmar Brasil despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Aurora FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 34 minutes, Clapham Rovers's Damien Quinn got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dedé Dante. Aurora FC's Dedé Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Gibson in the 37th minute of play. Damien Quinn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Dedé Dante made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Quirino in the 39th minute of play forced Clapham Rovers's goalkeeper Nilmar Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dedé Dante was a little too slow when Alex Gibson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 4-0. In the 46th minute Alex Gibson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedé Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wayne Longden hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damien Quinn was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Alex Gibson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dedé Dante was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. With a little luck, Clapham Rovers's Nilmar Brasil got control of the ball when Andrézinho Rossi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Clapham Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Eduardo Jacinto came free, but Nilmar Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilmar Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernani Quirino in the 61st minute of the match. Andrézinho Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilmar Brasil having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Andrézinho Rossi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nilmar Brasil was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. After 68 minutes, Keiran Jenkins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clapham Rovers and the Aurora FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Clapham Rovers getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Keiran Jenkins hit a great ball. Dedé Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Gibson in the 70th minute of the match. Alex Gibson scored 6-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dedé Dante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute Hernani Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keiran Jenkins in the 78th minute of play forced Aurora FC's goalkeeper Dedé Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 minutes of play, Clapham Rovers's Damien Quinn made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dedé Dante was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 92nd minute, Alex Gibson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clapham Rovers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. Carlos Eduardo Jacinto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nilmar Brasil having to make a save. Clapham Rovers's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
