Nilmar Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelsinho Meira in the 19th minute of play. In the 22ndth minute of the game Rodney Watkinson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 22 played minutes Pindorama got a freekick which was hit by Davi Botelho. Conrado Qwinton kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. If Rodney Watkinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the match, Pindorama's goal looked a bit too open when Rodney Watkinson came free, but Hortêncio Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hortêncio Duarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodney Watkinson's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. 48 minutes into the game, Clapham Rovers's Rodney Watkinson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hortêncio Duarte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 55th minute, Murilo Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nelsinho Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 57th minute Nelsinho Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Clapham Rovers's Malcolm Barkley got a free kick in the 59th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Damien Quinn could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Hortêncio Duarte however easily saved by the left post. Damien Quinns short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Hortêncio Duarte to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 66th match minute, Pindorama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Pedro Salles to maneuver through the defense. Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damien Quinn in the 66th minute of play. Nilmar Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelsinho Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The supporters of Clapham Rovers booed when Pindorama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelsinho Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donny Stockton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hortêncio Duarte. Pindorama's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Damien Quinn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damien Quinn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Hortêncio Duarte made a huge save.
