Spectators: 7522 (Terracing: 5642, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in SC Otten's zone, Leonel Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olaf Lübke came out of the goal and Leonel Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ronnie Schilder sped through Aurora FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dedé Dante. In the 11th minute Frederik Vielmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedé Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Andrézinho Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aurora FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrézinho Rossi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olaf Lübke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olaf Lübke was a little too slow when Carlos Eduardo Jacinto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-1. Aurora FC's Dedé Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronnie Schilder in the 19th minute of play. If Ronnie Schilder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 26 minutes, Hernani Quirino made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. SC Otten's Olaf Lübke tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Otten's goalkeeper Olaf Lübke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Aurora FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Leonel Loureiro hit a great ball. Dedé Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt in the 33rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Aurora FC defense, Frederik Vielmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dedé Dante. The Aurora FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dedé Dante should have stopped the shot. Dedé Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt in the 40th minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olaf Lübke having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Eduardo Jacinto in the 46th minute of play forced SC Otten's goalkeeper Olaf Lübke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurora FC's Dedé Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 51st match minute, SC Otten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sargon Baek to maneuver through the defense. Aurora FC's Leonel Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, SC Otten's Frederik Vielmann ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dedé Dante. Dedé Dante yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Rudi Tenhagen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Dedé Dante made a huge save. SC Otten's Olaf Lübke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Quirino in the 88th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Otten walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
