Liga de Quito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erasmo Martins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Erasmo Martins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jairo Collador was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Jairo Collador made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Novaes in the 24th minute of play. With 24 minutes on the clock, Vidal Cismado commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Liga de Quito getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Vidal Cismado hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Martins came free, but Jairo Collador reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Erasmo Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jairo Collador was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 33rd minute Telmo Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Collador saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liga de Quito's Jairo Collador played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Silva in the 34th minute of play. Jairo Collador took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesinha Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Célio Silva came free, but Jairo Collador reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasmo Martins scored 0-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jairo Collador, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Dinamo Colorado's zone, Urbano Pacio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington Abraão came out of the goal and Urbano Pacio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Liga de Quito's Jairo Collador played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Novaes in the 47th minute of play.

The wind increased when Nestor Ibaute made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Vargas in the 59th minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Jairo Collador to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Telmo Novaes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Jairo Collador made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, Dinamo Colorado's Telmo Novaes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jairo Collador. Jairo Collador yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Dinamo Colorado's Carlos Loureiro was substituted for Otávio Couto. In the 68th minute, Cesinha Meirelles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jairo Collador was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 74 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Martins came free, but Jairo Collador reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasmo Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 78 minutes, Rodas Crisol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liga de Quito and the Dinamo Colorado players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 78th minute, Rodas Crisol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Jairo Collador had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Telmo Novaes. Jairo Collador was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dinamo Colorado made a substitution. Andres D'Alessandro replaced Marcel Matos. 90 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Jairo Collador had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erasmo Martins. Erasmo Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Jairo Collador made a huge save. Jairo Collador showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurinho Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute, Erasmo Martins made a precise shot to the right of Jairo Collador. Liga de Quito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Dinamo Colorado's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
