The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Sangue nos Zóio's zone, Dedé Brodel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Carlos Leme came out of the goal and Dedé Brodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgar Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sangue nos Zóio's Horácio dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felippe Couto was extremely unlucky when he, in the 12th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 14 minutes into the match, Sangue nos Zóio's goal looked a bit too open when Edinho Bueno came free, but Antônio Carlos Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sangue nos Zóio's Emílio Andrade got a free kick in the 15th minute. When Gilvan Sabóia fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's protests and gave Gilvan Sabóia a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Los Andes FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gilvan Sabóia hit a great ball. When Jonas Machado fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's protests and gave Jonas Machado a yellow card for diving instead. The long shot by Edgar Freire in the 19th minute really tested Alisson Becker's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Sangue nos Zóio booed when Los Andes FC - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alisson Becker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emílio Andrade's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Sangue nos Zóio's Antônio Carlos Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedé Brodel in the 29th minute of play. Emílio Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Alisson Becker made a huge save. 37 minutes into the match, Sangue nos Zóio's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Machado came free, but Antônio Carlos Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sangue nos Zóio's Antônio Carlos Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Machado in the 46th minute of play. Antônio Carlos Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 55 played minutes Sangue nos Zóio got a freekick which was hit by Fernandão Catarinense. Antônio Carlos Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedé Brodel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Edinho Bueno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antônio Carlos Leme was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. 65 minutes into the match, Sangue nos Zóio's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Leme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dedé Brodel. Sangue nos Zóio's Acácio Fernandes was substituted for Horácio dos Santos. Sangue nos Zóio's Telmo Zanette was substituted for Felippe Couto. In the 69th minute, Edinho Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Los Andes FC - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alisson Becker should have stopped the shot. Alisson Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Acácio Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgar Freire scored 3-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alisson Becker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sangue nos Zóio's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
