Luiz Guilherme Negri's late challenge caught a Squadra de Pippe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Guilherme Negri helped the player get up and apologised. Squadra de Pippe's Anthony Volpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Luca in the 38th minute of play. Alfonso Iori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Pernambucano having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After a rather tough play, Squadra de Pippe's Andrea Cianci got a free kick in the 52nd minute.
