Spectators: 7593 (Terracing: 5696, Seating: 1746, VIP seats: 151) In the 3rd minute, Kennet Hedbom reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Frank Bertassi. The goal made the score 1-0. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10thth minute of the game Valdir Tepedino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Ibrica Džidžić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ibrica Džidžić stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdir Tepedino's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Frank Bertassi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osmar Motta. Andrézinho Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Frank Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kennet Hedbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When Valdir Tepedino came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Real Cruzeiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdir Tepedino couldn't finish the play. Angelo Minotti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Frank Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kennet Hedbom came free, but Frank Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Real Cruzeiro FC's Frank Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kennet Hedbom in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Andrézinho Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Real Cruzeiro FC's Valdir Tepedino in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdir Tepedino in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ibrica Džidžić saved GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ from getting behind.

In the 52nd minute Kennet Hedbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Angelo Minotti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Ladislav Kašić was substituted for Kruno Lišinović. Frank Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Minotti, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Ibrica Džidžić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Nazário De Lima in the 69th minute of play. Ibrica Džidžić stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdir Tepedino's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. After 74 minutes of play, GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Toni Marčić made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frank Bertassi was left in no man's land by his defense there! When GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Osmar Motta in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Cruzeiro FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Ronaldo Nazário De Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Endrick De Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Real Cruzeiro FC's Frank Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osmar Motta in the 90th minute of play. Frank Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Marčić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ fully deserved thier win.
